Tabea Mahler - Ein romantischer Abend im Geburtshaus
In May 2018, Tabea Mahler, a mezzo-soprano from Wittlich, made her debut as a lieder singer in the birthplace and was able to enthuse her audience, which included professionals such as Trier composer Joachim Reidenbach. Now the up-and-coming student of the Cologne Musikhochschule will make a stop at the Kueser Nikolausufer again on 28 September at 7 p.m. and bring along two international partners.
The Portuguese soprano Maria Portela Larisch is a student of Christoph Prégardien and a scholarship holder of the Cologne Richard Wagner Association. Among other things, she has already left her calling card on the stage of the Brussels Opera.
The two singers are supported by the French pianist Lorenzo Soulès. At the age of 20, he won all available prizes at the famous Concours International de Genève in 2012 and thus became one of the most successful prizewinners in the long history of this renowned competition. He won first prize in the competition, the Audience Prize, the Special Prize of the Young Audience, the Air France-KLM Special Prize and the Coup de Coeur Prize of the Swiss watchmaker Breguet.
The trio's programme includes "Waldszenen", Opus 82, and Liederkreis, Opus 39, by Robert Schumann, as well as duets by Johannes Brahms and Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.
The entrance fee is 15 Euro, pupils and students 10 Euro. Guest card holders receive a 10% discount. Click on "Tickets" to reserve your ticket today. The tickets will be deposited at the box office on the evening of the event.
