Would you like to go fishing on the Moselle? You can get the corresponding fishing license at the following places: for the Moselle section between the Zeltingen barrage (river kilometre 124) and the Wintrich barrage (river kilometre 141), the fishing tenant Josef Birnfeld, master fisherman, Moselstr. 39, Lieser, Tel.: 06531-3253, the Moselle Guest Centre, Gestade 6, Bernkastel-Kues or Wehlener Anglertreff, Hauptstr. 42, 54470 Bernkastel-Wehlen. Annual tickets are only available at the Wehlener Anglertreff and from Mr Birnfeld; for the Moselle section between the Wintrich barrage (river kilometre 141) and the Detzem barrage (river kilometre 166) the Tourist-Information Piesport-Minheim, Heinrich-Schmitt-Platz 1, 54498 Piesport, Tel.: 06507-2027 for the Moselle section between the Zeltingen barrage (Stomkilometer 124) and the Enkirch barrage (river kilometer 103) the tourist office Zeltingen-Rachtig, Uferallee 13, 54492 Zeltingen-Rachtig, Tel.: 06532-2404; The "fishing permit" for the sections between the Zeltingen-Rachtig and Wintrich barrages is available at the Moselle Guest Centre, Gestade 6, in the Bernkastel district.

Fishing ponds of the Kues fishing club: Every Sunday and public holiday, Saturdays by appointment, information: Phone: 06532/4576 (Fed Kappes). Fishing equipment is available at the Wehlener Anglertreff: www.bernkastel.de/a-z/a-z/wehlener-angler-treff.html German nationals must present the fishing licence of their federal state. Foreign guests can obtain the fishing licence (photo, identity card or passport are required) from the Bernkastel-Kues Association Municipal Administration, Room 5, Gestade 18, 54470 Bernkastel-Kues. You can find the following fish along the Moselle: pike, pike-perch, perch, chub, barbel, pike, bream, carp, asp, roach, rudd, trout, eel and tench, occasionally catfish can also be found.
