Description

Visit us to buy wine in our modern vinotheque. Here you can taste our wines in a unique atmosphere and get to know us personally. We will be pleased to show you where our grapes grow and where the wines are vinified. Enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Moselle. We are looking forward to your visit! In October 2016 the German Wine Institute awarded our Vinothek as one of the TOP 50 Vinotheques in Germany. Our winery is located in the heart of the Moselle, in the village of Osann-Monzel. Here we live and work as a family, with and for wine, day after day. Our winery does not have a long tradition and history. Although wine already played a role in our ancestors' lives, wine growing was only a sideline at that time. So Ludger Veit took over the winery from his father in 1984 at the age of 19. Determined, highly motivated and with many ideas in his head, he went to work. His family supported him actively. Over the years, we have gradually implemented these ideas, some of them unconventional. Vineyard areas in the best locations were bought, new grape varieties planted, storage space created, and and and ... . Today we cultivate the grapes for our wines on an area of 14 hectares. Passion for wine, determination and enthusiasm shape and characterize our actions and thinking. Our goal is always in focus: QUALITY The Moselle is world-famous for Riesling, but Ludger's love of experimentation showed early on that other grape varieties can also produce great wines here. Therefore, in addition to Riesling, many different, partly international grape varieties such as White Burgundy, Chardonnay, Merlot, Gewürztraminer or Sauvignon Blanc grow in our vineyards. Particularly characteristic of our winery is the high proportion of red grape varieties in our vineyards. Numerous awards speak for the quality of our wines. In 2016 a total of 13 of our wines were awarded the Golden Chamber Prize Coin, at the annual tasting we were able to decide two categories for us and and and and... you can always find current information about them here. Our opening hours are as follows: Monday to Friday: 10 to 12 o'clock and 15 to 17:30 Saturday: 10 to 12 o'clock and 14 to 16 o'clock Sunday/holiday: 11 to 12 o'clock From November to Easter the wine shop is closed from Monday to Wednesday or open by appointment only.
