Experience the culture - UNESCO-World Heritage Sites

The UNESCO World Heritage sites in Trier, within the ranks of the 37 sites across Germany and alongside wonders of the world such as the Pyramid of Cheops and the Great Wall of China, have a very special appeal to visitors from all over the world.

In the process, Trier, as the former residence of the Roman Emperor Augusta Treverorum, certainly sparkles with its Roman monuments, which are second to none outside Rome: the unique ensemble of the Porta Nigra, the imperial thermal baths and the amphitheatre as well as the Basilica of Constantine, the former Palastaula now used as a church, the Barbara Baths and the Römerbrücke are without a doubt worth seeing. Other World Heritage sites in Trier are the cathedral with its Roman foundations and parts of the building, which has, however, also been shaped by later periods, as well as the Liebfrauenkirche, a real Gothic treasure.
